CARE and Worship - Special Needs Ministry
Special Needs Ministry Needs Your Help!
CARE stands for Catholic Alternative Religious Education. This program was designed for children with special needs who have a difficult time grasping concepts associated with sacramental preparation due to learning or behavioral challenges. Our program is offered from September-May during the 10:30am Mass. Our students are provided with one-on-one tailored instruction for sacramental preparation.
We need youth and adult classroom helpers! Work directly with one of our students to help them participate in the classroom activities. If you are age 14 and up, you need community service hours and you want a rewarding experience, this opportunity is for you. We have needs for once or twice a month on Sundays during the 10:30am Mass.
Our program not only provides a rich experience for the student, but our volunteer helpers as well. For our youth volunteers in particular, our program can provide a life-changing community service experience.
